I trust you have been encouraged and helped by our Bible hour emphasis so far this Fall on joy.
Thinking about joy in suffering I’m reminded of a quote from Charles Spurgeon who said, “I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.” Praise God that he has purposes that go beyond ours even in the midst of our suffering.
